All Forklift Instructor Training Courses are fully accredited by ITSSAR, “Independent Training Standards and Scheme Register” who are the founders of the ABA “Accrediting Bodies Association”.

Course Summary
Train to be an ITTSAR qualified Forklift truck instructor and examiner in just 10 days with our 10 day new forklift instructor course.
NOVICE CANDIDATES 10 DAY NEW FORKLIFT INSTRUCTOR COURSE
For those attending a 10 day new forklift instructor course, candidates must provide documentary evidence of having successfully completed a Basic Operating Skills course for the machine type within the 6 months preceding the course start date (There is no requirement for this to be an ITTSAR accredited operator training course). In the event of any other evidence being presented please contact the Exam Team in advance of the course commencement..
In addition it is strongly recommended that candidates are able to provide information to the accredited organisation on a minimum of 12 months’ industrial experience of operating lift trucks.
A 10 day new forklift instructor course with continual assessment for experienced lift truck operators who wish to provide operator training for their employer or on a commercial basis (Instructors must become ITSSAR Accredited in order to provide commercial training approved by ITSSAR). A 5 day re-registration lift truck instructor course is also available for those who wish to refresh their Instructors registration.
The course consists of 9 elements which are:
- Conduct a Practical Demonstration
- Conduct a Practical Lesson
- Theory Health & Safety at Work
- Theory Instructional Techniques
- Theory Recommendations of Training
- Report Writing
- Conduct a Practical Skills Test
- Use of Training Aids
- MHSWR
All 9 elements must be successfully completed to achieve an overall pass and qualify as a Lift Truck Instructor.
Successful candidates will then register on the ITTSAR National Register of Instructors. Please note there is NO final exam.

Course Requirements
Eligibility for the Novice 10 Day New Instructor Course
- Delegates will need to be lift truck operators with strong written and verbal skills
- Delegates will need to provide evidence of successfully completing the Basic Operating Skills Test on a counterbalance or reach truck in the preceding 6 months
- We strongly recommended that delegates have a minimum of 6 months operating experience

Course Location
All instructors’ courses will be held at our ITTSAR accredited training centre in Littlehampton, West Sussex. We have Large heated modern facilities and a modern fully equipped training room. There are also kitchen facilities with hot and cold drinks, the use of a fridge and microwave is also available for use on the 10 day new forklift instructor course. Luft Training Services offer an initial 10 Day Forklift Instructor Course for those who are novices. A 5 Day Re Registration Course for in-house instructors who train occasionally and a 3 Day Direct Entry course for those who train on a daily basis.
